NUS 0708 Semester 2 Results

Hi. I owe it to you to let you know my results.

I am very satisfied with my results, given the events that have unfolded during this semester. Glad on a few fronts:
- Thai I still managed to maintain my A.
- Advanced topics in E-Commerce I got A-. I guess it was the consistent hard work from the project team and that the lecturer is good ba.
- IS Consulting, to get a B+ is like a godsend. Although I am not the only one, I believe that most people have no clue to what the lecturer is talking about. Nor do we even bother to read his notes. Guess the last minute study before the exam helps alot.

Busy Blogger

This blogger has been very very busy since the end of Chinese New Year celebrations. Off the cuffs, I went to Bangkok (7 March to 9 March), went on the Singapore Flyer (10 March), rushed for assignments (beginning of semester until now), applied for internships (since February) and I am now contemplating working for the next 6 months from May onwards.

This post is not meant to be read by anyone. Just want to keep bits and pieces of my life for logging purposes.

Of stolen underwear, post CNY and projects

Long time no update. Here's everything in a nutshell:

  • This Tuesday went NUS gym. Finish, go shower, underwear and pants hand over door, pants suddenly drop, I thought i moved the door, shower done, realised underwear missing. Thief in SRC toilet.
  • CNY was a little off-colour this year. Not much hype and stuff. Getting on with life. Only consolation was that I drove a Merc around during CNY.
  • Projects and emails and stuff. I am so disgusted by work. Hit me hard please...

May happiness prevail this coming new year..

Happiness is something we either take for granted or view it too lightly. Well, it's an underrated value which I would give high priority.

Something that has not made me happy every Chinese New Year, would be the incessant calls for me to bring a girlfriend to visitings. Well this year, I'm going to do a mental note and count the number of times such a comment is passes. No wonder why some of my friends choose not to do visitings or just leave the country altogether. Well, personally I don't think that leaving is such a good idea. After all these years of visiting my relatives, I still find a certain fun and warmth to seeing the familiar faces, most of which I do not see for the rest of the entire year. Call it superficial, but at least we still keep in touch and network with one another.

In terms of fight or flight, I would prefer to see myself as facing these comments as they would be inevitable in the course of our tiny little lives. So be it, you wanna ask, ask. But be prepared for my arsenal or replies that may make you speechless, or at least, not ever wanting to ask me that question again. :)

Maybe you can contribute or give me ideas for my rebuttal?

  • She doesn't want to come with me on visitings because she knew there would be nosy peopl like you to prod into the lives of others and making it your business to know when I am getting married

  • My girlfriend just died

  • My girlfriend is a very traditional girl. She said no visiting of relatives before marriage

  • Happy Chinese New Year one and all! May you have happiness!
